2.0 has completed its extended first-weekend journey and set the theater screens on fire. The film started its journey at the box office on an excellent note and held well over the next three days. 2.0 4th day collection took a new height when it crossed over Rs. 30 crores in the theaters. Below we have discussed the detailed performance of 2.0 over the extended first weekend. 2.0 Sunday performance has given an advantage to the film by adding a huge amount to its total.

Excellent Start Sets Foundation For the Weekdays

2.0 took a solid start and earned near Rs. 20 crores on Thursday. The film also maintained itself well on Friday as usually dubbed films witnessed a big fall on the second day. But 2.0 remained strong and its Hindi version earned around Rs. 18 crores. On Saturday as well as Sunday, 2.0 took a remarkable growth of 37% and 94% from Friday. Such a kind of performance has set a strong base of the film for the weekdays. Here is the day-wise earning of 2.0 at the box office:

  • Thursday – Rs. 19.50 crores
  • Friday – Rs. 17.50 crores
  • Saturday – Rs. 24 crores
  • Sunday – Rs. 34 crores
  • Total – Rs. 95 crores 

From the above stats, it is clear that the terrific growth on Saturday as well as Sunday contributed a lot in taking the total of the film near Rs. 100 crores. Especially the growth on Sunday was superb as it crossed over 90% which enabled 2.0 to earn Rs. 34 crores on Sunday. The presence of Akshay Kumar has helped 2.0 to collect a fantastic amount in the North region.

Weekdays Performance Crucial For 2.0

2.0 has performed well over the extended first weekend and now all eyes are on the hold of the film over the weekdays. The film must not decline hugely to sustain well in the theaters.
