Andhadhun, Loveyatri, and Venom released yesterday at the box office. The Bollywood releases, Andhadhun, and Loveyatri failed to receive even a decent response from the audience and settled with a low earning. On the other hand, the Hollywood film, Venom had a fair start on Friday and it earned better than both the Hindi releases. Here we have discussed Love Yatri, Venom and Andhadhun first day collection in details. Also, we have thrown light on the performance of the holdover release Sui Dhaaga on its second Friday.
Andhadhun and Loveyatri Opening Day Earnings
Andhadhun earned near Rs. 2.50 crore which is a poor collection. The other Hindi film, Loveyatri collected even poorer than Andhadhun and settled around the mark of Rs. 2 crores. Both the films have to witness a jump on their next two days to take their first weekend total to a decent value. Not only this, Andhadhun and Love Yatri also have to maintain themselves well on the weekdays. Only then, anything substantial would be collected in the pockets of both these films.
Venom Earns Well on its Opening Day and Settles Near Rs. 4 Crores
The Holywood film, Venom had a good opening at the box office and the film earned near Rs. 4 crores. This is a far better opening than both the new Hindi releases namely, Andhadhun and Love Yatri. Venom first day collection has ensured that the film is going to have an excellent earning over the first weekend. Its Monday hold would decide the earning of the film in its first week.
Sui Dhaaga Drops More than Expected on Second Friday
Sui Dhaaga earned over Rs. 60 crores in its first week and got itself registered among the hit films of the year 2018. On its second Friday, the film had dropped around 48% from Thursday and earned Rs. 1.75 crores at the box office. Now, the first 8 days total of the film stands at Rs. 64.25 crores and it would again witness a growth over the next two days. The families would appear in the theaters to watch the film which would ensure a good number of footfalls in the cinema houses.
