Angrezi Medium movie has witnessed a downfall in its earning due to coronavirus outbreak. After a poor start at the box office, the film didn’t get a chance to recover as many states announced the shutting of movie theaters till the end of March month. The content film only earned approximately Rs. 4 crores on its maiden day and it couldn’t witness the much-required growth on its second as well as the third day.
Coronavirus Outbreak Ruins the Box Office Business
Coronavirus outbreak has ruined the box office business of many films including Angrezi Medium as the spread of the deadly virus has put everything on hold. Ban imposed on the operations of theatres in major parts of the world has been affected by the business of movies on a large scale. Angrezi Medium only managed to earn a total around Rs. 9 crores as it witnessed a decline on Saturday as well as Sunday. Here is the first weekend earning of the film:
- Friday – Rs. 4.03 crores
- Saturday – Rs. 2.77 crores
- Sunday – Rs. 2.27 crores
- Total – Rs. 9.07 crores
Baaghi 3 and Chal Mera Putt 2 Also Get Affected
Tiger Shroff’s action film, Baaghi 3 has also got poor earning over its second weekend and it the film’s overall business has got hit due to coronavirus outbreak. Baaghi 3 only managed to collect a total of Rs. 6 crores into its pocket over the second weekend and it will not be able to reach its complete potential by the time it leaves the theaters. The Punjabi Movie, Chal Mera Putt 2 has only managed to earn a total of Rs. 2.92 crores until now. Had it not been the case of coronavirus outbreak, the film would have done a total earning of Rs. 5 crores in the first weekend.
