Baazaar movie released yesterday at the box office but it could not get the desired response. It started on a low note and the opening reflected the poor response from the audience. However, in the evening shows, it took a little pace and gained some momentum. Still, Baazaar could not manage to end its first day even on a decent note. Here is the analysis of Baazaar first day collection in details.

Non-Uniform Growth Raises Doubts for Baazaar

Baazaar first day collection managed to earn a little over Rs. 3 crore which is not a good opening. The film was expected to earn near Rs. 1.50 crores after its poor opening but it jumped in the evening to earn Rs. 1 crore more to close its first day at Rs. 3.07 crores. But the big worry for Baazaar is its collection did not distribute uniformly in the theaters. There are many places such as North Indian states where the film could not get even a decent earning. Keeping in mind the genre of the film, Baazaar is not expected to grow on a strong note over the next two days.

Badhaai Ho Dominates Over New As Well As Holdover Releases

Badhaai Ho 2nd Friday collection shows the stronghold of the film in the theaters. The film only witnessed a drop of about 20% and earned Rs. 3.40 crores on its 8th day. The total of the film stands at Rs. 69.50 crores and the film would witness a good growth over the next two days. Badhaai Ho has a chance to cross the mark of Rs. 100 crores before leaving the theaters.

Poor Performances by Other New Releases

Except for Baazaar, all the other new releases namely, 5 Weddings, Kaashi failed to cross even Rs. 1 crores mark. There is no scope for these films to witness any improvement in their collections. The holdover release, Andhadhun also earned on a poor note on its third Friday and just earned around Rs. 60 lakhs.
