Batti Gul Meter Chalu released yesterday and had an average opening at the box office. The film had a benefit of partial holiday due to Muharram but things didn’t go in its favor. Batti Gul Meter Chalu first day collection has come lower than expected. Now, the film has to gain momentum from this point and it must earn excellently on Saturday as well as Sunday. The Punjabi film, Qismat had taken an excellent start on its first day and it would receive a positive response in the coming days in the theaters.

BGMC First Day Collection Remains on the Lower Side

Batti Gul Meter Chalu first day collection comes out to be Rs. 6.76 crores. Had it come on a non-holiday Friday, one would easily declare it in the good range. But since it was a partial holiday due to Muharram on yesterday, so this is something less than the expected value. Batti Gul Meter Chalu must witness a healthy growth on Saturday as well as Sunday. This is really important for the film to show a good jump in the coming days in order to reach a respectable total. However, upon seeing the opening day performance of the film, it is not going to get even a decent jump on the second day.

Qismat Earns Well On its Opening Day

The Punjabi film, Qismat held well on its first day at the box office and collected near Rs. 1.50 crores. Qismat didn’t have the advantage of Muharram holiday but still, it managed to attract a good number of the audience to its theaters. The film has a good scope in the coming days and it would collect well in its lifetime.

Stree Holds Strong and Manmarziyaan Remains Low

Stree took the advantage of a holiday and it managed to earn Rs. 1.51 crores on its 4th Friday. The film would grow well over the fourth weekend and collect a good amount. Manamarziyaan had a fall due to the competition from the new as well as the holdover releases. Despite having a good soundtrack, genre, and youth-oriented subject, it fails to hold well in the theaters. Manmarziyaan 8th day collection could not even cross the mark of Rs. 1 crore. It fell by 75% on its eighth day and it has no chance to earn well over the second weekend.
