Aiyyary and Ittefaq are Sidharth Malhotra’s back to back movies. Both Aiyaary and Ittefaq are thriller movies and low budget films. Aiyaary was based on a true story but Ittefaq was a remake of the similar name film of Rajesh Khanna released in the year 1969.
Ittefaq started its box office journey with a decent collection but Aiyaary fared poorly on its opening day. The difference after the first day was Rs. 68 lakhs, which makes all the more difference in their collection in the coming days. Ittefaq showed decent growth on its first Saturday and Sunday while Aiyaary failed to low growth on the next two days. With such a low opening, Aiyaary was supposed to take a big jump on Saturday and Sunday but this didn’t happen.
Due to this, the difference between the first weekend collection of Aiyaary and Ittefaq comes out to be Rs. 4.80 crores. Hence, the winner between the two movies is Ittefaq.
