Both Padman and Aiyaary are low budget films but are based on a different subject. Also, they released with a difference of one week at the box office. Padman received positive reviews from the critics but Aiyaary failed to impress the leading critics of the Bollywood. This also affected the first day collection of both the films.
Padman walked on the footprints of the movie Toilet Ek Prem Katha and earned decently on its opening day. While Aiyaary performed below average on its first day and registered less collection than Ittefaq and A Gentleman.
On its second day, Padman witnessed a good jump and earned over Rs. 13 crores. But Aiyaary showed only 20% jump from its opening day. In case of Padman, the partial holidays on the weekdays helped the film to earn a good amount while this is not the case with Aiyaary.
So right from the first day, Padman earned more money than Aiyaary and hence the winner is Padman.
