Dakuaan Da Munda released last Friday and took an excellent start at the box office. Despite being a non-cast film, the Punjabi movie held well on its opening day as well as the next two days. It even surpassed the earning of the holdover Hindi releases namely, Karwaan and Mulk. The film has a chance to sustain well on the weekdays. It would be interesting to see how it fares in the coming days. If it manages to pass the crucial test on Monday, then it may be able to maintain itself well.
Dakuaan Da Munda Earns Over 5 Crores in its First Weekend
Dakuaan Da Munda movie grossed the second highest opening among all the Punjabi movies. Also, it maintained itself well over the next two days and crossed Rs. 5 crores in the theatres. On its first day, it earned Rs. 1.70 crores and attracted a good number of footfalls at the box office. The growth on Saturday and Sunday was decent for a content film and it earned a good amount in the first three days.
Now, it depends on the hold of the film, Dakuaan Da Munda on the first Monday to estimate where the film is heading. If it manages to do well over the weekdays then the film would collect a strong amount in the theatres. Dakuaan Da Munda earned even more than the holdover releases, Karwaan and Mulk. It has a few days left before the release of two new films namely, Satyameva Jayate and Gold to earn a strong amount of money.
Karwaan and Mulk Witnesses Growth
Karwaan and Mulk didn’t show any fall on the second Friday and both the films earned around Rs. 1 crores. Karwaan collected over Rs. 4 crores over the second weekend and Mulk earned around Rs. 4.80 crores. Mulk would end its life with more earning than Karwaan. Well, the films managed to earn well because there was no competition for the films.
