Dhadak had a wonderful start on its first day and the film collected an excellent amount in the theatres. Not only it dominated on the holdover releases but also set a new record on its maiden day at the box office. Dhadak has become the highest opening newcomer Hindi film of all time. The film has mainly shown its stronghold among the Hindi audience on its first day. Dhadak 2nd day collection would witness growth due to the positive word of mouth. But how much growth the film would show depend on many factors. Here are the early estimates for Dhadak Saturday collection.

A Still from Dhadak

Highest Opening New Comer Hindi Film

Dhadak surprised everyone by taking the highest opening amongst newcomer Hindi films. It was expected to earn well on its first day but the film did far better than the expectations. Dhadak also surpassed the opening day earning of Raazi and made a huge achievement. Here are the top 5 first day collections of similar films:

  • Dhadak – Rs. 8.71 crores
  • Student of the Year – Rs. 7.52 crores
  • Hero – Rs. 6.69 crores
  • Heropanti – Rs. 6.51 crores
  • Ishaqzaade – Rs. 4.71 crores

As we can see that Dhadak tops the list of all the movies mentioned above. It marks the wonderful start for the film career of the new actors Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor. Also, the film failed to get affected by the holdover releases at the box office and even presented a stiff competition to the other films.

2nd Day Collection Early Estimates

Dhadak 2nd day collection would witness a growth due to the positive word of mouth of the audience. However, the jump in the film’s collection would depend on the performance of the film in the North India region where the film didn’t attract a huge number of audience on its opening day. Dhadak Saturday collection is expected to grow over 25% and likely to earn near Rs. 11 crores on its second day at the box office. More updates about the film will be made available soon.

Sanju Gets Affected due to Dhadak

Sanju movie faced a stiff competition from the new release and witnessed a drop of around 38% from yesterday. On its 4th Friday, the film only managed to earn near Rs. 1.30 crores. This has hinted that it is difficult for the film to earn well over the fourth week. Sanju has already done its major business and now it is just a formal journey of the film until the release of any other big film.  Now, it has to make an improvement in its earning over the fourth week to cross the lifetime earning of Tiger Zinda Hai and PK.
