Ayushman Khurrana’s latest film Dream Girl has amazingly earned a total of Rs 139.70 Crores. The film had hit the theatres on 13th September and it has exceeded the lifetime business of Ayushmann’s past biggest hit, Badhaai Ho. Before Dream Girl, Badhai Ho was his biggest hit which had collected Rs.135.95 crore at the Indian box office after completing its journey of five weeks in the theatres.
Renowned Indian film critic and journalist, Taran Adarsh announced on his Twitter account by tweeting the latest box office numbers of Dream Girl. On the fifth weekend, the film has managed to earn more than Rs 1.5 crores and added a big amount to its lifetime earning. In the five weeks, the film has earned Rs 139.70 crores in India.
Ayushman played Karamvir Singh in Dream Girl which was a small-town boy and can mimic a woman’s voice. His father’s role was played by Annu Kapoor as Jagjeet. Karamvir finds a job in a call center to pay his father’s debts. He chats with strangers over the phone in his feminine voice to earn money.
Dream Girl is directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa and it was released with mixed reviews. But the film performed well during its onscreen time and made Ayushmann receive the biggest success of his career. Dream Girl is the biggest opener of Ayushmann’s career. It earned Rs.10.05 Crores on the opening day and has beaten Badhaai Ho that opened at Rs 7.35 Crores.
