Gold and Satyameva Jayate had completed their extended first weekend with an excellent earning. There was an up and down in the films’ business at the box office. Still, both the films namely, Gold and Satyameva Jayate earned well and crossed Rs. 70 crores and Rs. 55 crores respectively. On Monday, Gold and Satyameva Jayate earned less than expected. Tuesday Holds the Key for Future of Films
Gold movie witnessed about 60% fall from Friday and earned near Rs. 4 crores on Monday. Although, it was the 6th day still the drop should have varied in the range of 5-10% above the drop on Monday. On the other hand, Satyameva Jayate fell by 55% which is not really a big drop for this film on the sixth day. Satyameva Jayate also earned near Rs. 4 crores on Monday. Now, a lot of things depends on Tuesday earning of both the films.
7th Day Collection Early Estimates
Gold 7th day collection would witness a fall of 12-17% and earn around Rs. 3.40 crores on Tuesday. This would take the total of the film near Rs. 79 crores. Gold has a good chance to show jump on Wednesday as it is an eve of Bakri Eid tomorrow. So, this would help the film to take its extended first week total over Rs. 85 crores.
Satyameva Jayate scored decently on Monday and dropped by 55% from Friday which is acceptable for the sixth day. The action film has a good chance to remain strong in the second week and it would end its extended first week with an earning over Rs. 65 crores. Update: Gold and Satyameva Jayate took a jump on their 7th day due to the more number of footfalls in the evening as well as night shows. Gold had a jump of 16% and earned over Rs. 4 crores. The total of the film touched the mark of Rs. 80 crores. Satyameva Jayate also had a growth equals 12% on Tuesday for the same reason and it earned around Rs. 3.80 crores.
