Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi and Genius are the two new films which released yesterday. The clash with the holdover releases coupled with low buzz resulted in the poor opening for the films. Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi first day collection came out to be better than the other new film, Genius. Here below we have discussed the performance of the two films on their opening day. Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi Earns Low
Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi took a low opening on the last Friday and just managed to collect Rs. 2.70 crores. This movie was a sequel to 2016 movie, Happy Bhaag Jayegi which also did a decent earning in its lifetime. The holdover releases namely Gold and Satyameva Jayate presented a stiff competition for the film. Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi first day collection also got affected by the regional films in Punjab due to which it got affected on a large scale.
On Saturday, the film would witness good growth because of its low opening day collection. Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi would witness a jump of over 50% on Saturday to take its total over Rs. 6.50 crores. However, the real test for the film will be on Monday which would decide its lifetime earning at the box office.
Genius Couldn’t Earn Even 1 Cr on Opening Day
Genius movie fared extremely poor and couldn’t even earn the net amount of Rs. 1 crores on its opening day. it collected near Rs. 70 lakhs and got affected by the holdover releases. Genius has no chance to sustain on the weekdays even if it witnesses an excellent growth.
Gold 2nd Friday Collection
Gold dropped by 46% from Thursday to collect around Rs. 1.80 crores on its second Friday. It has again fallen on the weekday but is still in a strong position. Due to the poor opening of the new releases, Gold is likely to grow on 2nd Saturday and would earn over Rs 2.50 crores. More updates about the film will be made available soon.
