Luka Chuppi started its journey at the box office with a good collection and crossed the mark of Rs. 8 crores on its opening day. Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon’s rom-com movie also strongly faced the holdover release, Total Dhamaal. Now, Luka Chuppi 2nd day collection would witness a healthy growth due to positive word of mouth. A strong first weekend earning is there for the film. On the other hand, the holdover release, Total Dhamaal also earned strong due to low drop on its 8th day in the theaters.
Positive Word of Mouth Ensures Strong Growth on Saturday
After a very good start, Luka Chuppi has a wonderful chance to set the momentum and there will be a strong growth on Saturday for the film. Luka Chupi 2nd day collection will get the benefit of the positive word of mouth of the audience and there will be a growth of 40-45% on Saturday. With this, Luka Chuppi Saturday collection is estimated to land near Rs. 12 crores. Clearly, the film took the better opening than the medium budget films SKTKS, Raazi, Stree which released last year. This is a good indication for Luka Chuppi but the real test will be on Monday when it has to hold strong to prove its mettle at the box office.
Total Dhamaal Holds Well but Sonchiriya Performs Poorly
Total Dhamaal completed its first week on a solid note and earned over Rs. 90 crores. It was crucial for the film to hold well on its second Friday and it did exactly the same. With a drop of 25%, the film collected Rs. 4.75 crores on its eighth day and took its total near Rs. 100 crores. Now, there will definitely be a strong growth over the second weekend which would take its total over Rs. 110 crores. The other new film, Sonchiriya failed to attract the audience and collected just Rs. 1 crores on its opening day. Sonchiriya is not expected to recover and will be a flop movie at the box office.
