Synopsis

Jai, a smart ACP has a tough time finding a clue to the theft committed by four helmeted men on bikes. They do it so deftly that nobody gets a clue. The only evidence is the super speed high tech bikes they use for the heist. ACP Jai gets Ali, a mechanic to assist him in the case. With the clock ticking, it’s up to them to nab the thieves red handed.

Movie Reception

Dhoom could not impress the critics fully and received mixed reviews. However, the film managed to impress the audience well and earned well in its beginning days in the theatres. Due to the positive word of mouth from the audience, it not only earned well in the first week and also remained strong throughout its lifetime.

The low drop in the consecutive weeks ensured the film to earn over Rs. 30 crores in the domestic market. With a superb earning in the overseas theatres, it crossed the mark of Rs. 50 crores in the worldwide. The super-success of the film helped the film to release its sequels which also performed strongly at the box office.
