Hate Story 4 fails to open on an expected note and earned a decent amount in the theatres. However, it managed to grow averagely over the first weekend and collected over Rs. 12 crores in just 3 days. Thanks to the decent fall on the weekdays, it managed to cross Rs. 20 crores in its first week.
In the second week, it failed to stand well and dropped about 85% from the first week. The competition from the other releases made it difficult for the film to do a good business in the second and third week. It ended its box office journey at Rs. 24 crores in the domestic market.
