Synopsis

Krish Thapar, a conservationist for the international wildlife welfare, and his wife Riya are asked to find the reasons behind mysterious deaths by man-eating tigers in the Jim Corbett National Park in India. Another group of friends namely Dev and his girlfriend Ishika arrives on an adventurous trip to this place. They go in the Jungle to hunt. Both the groups travel together and get panicked and fearful due to unusual incidents that they experience during the journey. They meet Kali Pratap Singh, who assures their safe escape from the dangerous Jungle. Eventually, Dev finds that Kali is not a human being but a supernatural ghost.

Movie Reception

Kaal came at the box office with mixed reviews and it also did a moderate business in the theatres. It opened on a strong note and earned on the same grounds in its first weekend.

Having earned over Rs. 7 crores in the first three days, it held average on the weekdays. The film dropped by around 50% on Monday and remained decent on the remaining days of the first week.

The fall on the second Friday was a little big and it grossed an amount of Rs. 4.50 crores approx. in the second week. Not much difference was seen in the box office earning of the film in the third week and it settled at Rs. 19 crores in its lifetime.
