This is a story of 6 people who plan to rob the American Services Bank. They execute the robbery and get successful only to find themselves surrounded by the police. They manage to escape the shoot-out and meet in a secret hideout to find the betrayer. From a police detective, they come to know that the informer is amongst them only. They must find him quickly and kill him before it’s too late.

Kaante arrived in the theatres with a bang and it managed to take an excellent opening. On its first weekend, it grossed well and earned over Rs. 5 crores in the theatres. It performed on similar grounds on the weekdays and crossed Rs. 10 crores mark in its first week.
The film declined on decent grounds in the second week and collected around Rs. 5 crores. Similarly, it continued to remain strong in the coming weeks and ensured a very good total in its theatrical run.
Kaante received positive reviews for its music and the songs of the film played a crucial role in raising its earning. The film was a success at the box office and earned Rs. 43 crores in the worldwide theatres.
