The movie begins with a government official inspecting a dam is brutally killed in Solaiyur. Lingaa, a small time criminal who is in prison is taken out on bail by Lakshmi who persuades him to go back to Solaiyur village. A turn of events happens reforming Lingaa upon travelling to Solaiyur and what he does to protect the people is the rest of the movie.
