Sajjan Singh Rangroot opened on decent note in the theatres and didn't receive the expected response from the audience. However, the positive reviews of the critics, as well as the positive word of mouth from the audience, came into the picture on the weekdays which resulted in the comeback of the film in the theatres.
Also, it maintained itself well in the overseas market and earned over Rs. 16 crores gross amount at the box office. In the second week also, it held decently and earned averagely. The performance of the war movie proved that war movies are not as much popular among the Punjabi audience as the comedy movies.
