Synopsis

The Answer Lies Within: Grieving the drowning death of his son, Inspector Surjan Shekhawat takes the case of an actor who swerved his car off a highway for no apparent reason. To solve the mystery, he must dig deeply into his own trauma, and perhaps even accept the influence of unearthly powers.

Movie Reception

Talaash came at the box office with a good opening and earned well on its first day. The film grew well over the first weekend which took its total over Rs. 45 crores. Decent fall on the weekdays ensured a strong first week for Aamir Khan's film. In the second week, it declined majorly and collected only Rs. 17 crores.

The third week remained on similar grounds and it settled with a lifetime collection of Rs. 91 crores in the domestic market. Talaash also fared well in the overseas and did an excellent business in the theatres. Due to the stronghold of the movie, it earned Rs. 174 crores all over the world.
