Movie Reception
Veere Di Wedding surprised everyone by taking the third highest opening of 2018 at that time. It grossed over Rs. 10 crores on its first day and it earned over Rs. 35 crores over its first weekend. The stronghold of the film on the weekdays ensured an excellent total in its pocket.
After grossing over Rs. 55 crores in its first week, the film remained strong on the second weekend. In the second week, the film grossed Rs. 20 crores and took its total over Rs. 75 crores. However, with the release of new films, it witnessed a big fall and could not maintain its magic in the third week. It was a hit at the box office and gave a new direction to the female-centric films.
