For more than a month, The Rajputs & The Hindu communities have been creating several disputes against the filmmakers of Padmaavat. Initially, this film was named as ‘Padmavati’. But then for the sake of the protesters, makers renamed it as Padmaavat. According to the Karni Sena, this movie has portrayed the character of their Rani Padmavati in a wrong way which was not acceptable for them. So they protested & asked for a red signal to this film.

This is not the first Bollywood film which is struggling this much before its release in India. Apart from Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s movies, there are few more which had to face some disputes. In the year 2008, Ashutosh Gowariker’s Jodha Akbar faced a major dark phase before its release. Rajputs of Rajasthan tried to ban this from screening by accusing the makers for distorting & manipulating the Indian History. Moving forward to the list, in the recent year 2016, Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil & Abhishek Chaubey’s Udta Punjab too had to go through the screening issues.

Bhansali’s 2 more movies were about to get banned

Earlier, Sanjay Leela Bhansali along with Ranveer Singh & Deepika Padukone had gone through the same situation for their epic films Bajirao Mastani & Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela. But, the good thing is that these movies emerged as the blockbusters even after going through so many issues. Despite all the difficulties, Bhansali’s Padmaavat is all set to hit the theatres. The audience is waiting to watch this most awaited epic film on the screen. Hoping for the best, book your tickets & rush to the theatre.
