The film ended its five weeks journey on a positive note and it crossed the mark of ₹510 crores. Now, all eyes are on the film’s second Saturday collection as it is expected to see a good jump. How much? Given the performance of Pathaan, there will be at least 50% growth on the 6th Saturday.
What it means it the film is likely to earn over ₹1.5 crores as it already collected ₹1.05 crores yesterday. And now, it is clear that Pathaan would be able to beat the number of Baahubali 2: The Conclusion at the box office.
Earlier, it was speculative whether it would be able to do it. But now, the story is very clear and it is all thanks to no competition from other films in the theatres. Owing to the strong upward trend on the 6th Friday, the film is going to register a good collection over the sixth weekend.
Pathaan’s Battle Against Baahubali 2: The Conclusion
A couple of weeks back, Pathaan was expected to run short of Baahubali 2’s collections. But now, the story has completely changed as the film is going smoothly even after over 40 days of its release.
As of now, the total of the film stands at ₹511.70 crores and the time is not away when it would surpass the earnings of the South film.
Now, the upcoming movie, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar is going to hit the theatres soon. Since the new film is coming mid-week, it would be interesting to see how it would impact Pathaan’s earnings.
Clearly, there will be a dip in collections post the release of the new movie. How much? Well, only time will tell! If I take into account the poor performances of the Bollywood movies, I would say “fingers crossed.”
Pathaan isn’t just strong in the domestic markets but it has also impressed the audience in the overseas markets. And the proof of it is its excellent collection outside India. As of now, the available data highlights the film has earned ₹47 million in total overseas.
