Decent Hold on the Weekdays

Sanju completed its first 10 days in the theatres on a solid note and collected a total of over Rs. 265 crores. But on the 2nd Monday, it fell more than expected and witnessed a drop of 25% from its second Friday. On its 12th day, the story remained similar and it dropped further 15% and only earned around Rs. 8 crores. For a blockbuster film, it is something unusual. Although other films show such a trend on the weekdays of their second week. But for a film like Sanju who is performing extremely well, these drops raise questions. Here is the box office collection of Sanju till now:

  • First Week – Rs. 202.51 crores
  • Second Weekend – Rs. 62.97 crores
  • Second Monday – Rs. 9.54 crores
  • Second Tuesday – Rs. 8.10 crores
  • Total – Rs. 283.12 crores
