Sanju has completed its first week run at the box office in a terrific manner. The film has achieved a big milestone and become the fourth film in the history of Indian cinema to gross over Rs. 200 crores in its first week. It didn’t show any sign of slowing down which ensured its super successful show in the theatres. Now, all eyes are on the performance of Sanju on its second Friday. It has to hold well on its 8th day to ensure a big lifetime total in its pocket. Sanju 2nd Friday collection early estimates are as follows.
Fourth Hindi Film to Enter 200 Cr Club in the First Week
Ranbir Kapoor’s film, Sanju, has broken many records in its first week and has reached a great position at the box office. Earlier in the first weekend, it became the second Highest grosser among all Indian films. And then, it fared excellently over the weekdays to ensure its super success in the first week. Sanju is the fourth film of Ranbir Kapoor to enter Rs. 100 crores club and it is now the fourth film in the list of Rs. 200 crores grosser Hindi films in the first week. Only the films namely, Bahubali 2: The Conclusion, Sultan, Tiger Zinda Hai, and Sanju enjoy the top four spots in this list. Here is the list:
- Bahubali 2: The Conclusion – Rs. 247 crores
- Sultan – Rs. 229.16 crores
- Tiger Zinda Hai – Rs. 206.04 crores
- Sanju – Rs. 202.51 crores
Only Bahubali 2: The Conclusion and Sanju are the two films which have achieved this mark on a non-holiday period. Other films namely, Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai took the advantage of holidays to cross Rs. 200 crores mark in their respective first week.
8th Day Collection Early Estimates
Sanju 2nd Friday collection would play a crucial role in deciding whether the film would cross Rs. 300 crores mark in its lifetime or not. Ranbir Kapoor’s film has to witness a decent fall to ensure its stronghold on its 8th day. Sanju is expected to drop by 15-18% from Thursday and would earn in the range of Rs. 13-14 crores at the box office. The total collection of the film would cross Rs. 215 crores today.
