Selfie has completed its first weekend at the box office and its collection isn’t impressive at all. Now, after a poor start, you can’t expect it to perform well on its weekdays. If I talk about Selfie’s 4th day collection, it is going to be on similar lines. On the other hand, if we study the 5th Monday performance of Pathaan, the result looks promising. Selfie Monday Collection is Disappointing
Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi’s film “Selfie” is not showing any sign of improvement. And it was well expected from it as it fared poorly over its first weekend. With a total collection of around 11 crores on its first three days, the film would give a similar show on Monday. Yes, you guessed it right – Poor.
Basically, the filmmakers didn’t put the required effort into creating powerful content for Selfie. Though earlier movies by Akshay Kumar didn’t perform in a robust fashion, they at least got a good start initially.
However, it is not the case with Selfie as it didn’t get the required footfalls despite no new competition at the box office. What would Selfie’s 4th day earnings be? Well, given the current performance of the film, it is expected to earn around ₹1.5 crores on Monday.
Clearly, this much collection would not help Selfie in any way. You can expect it to get a weekly total of around ₹15 crores. Despite no new release on the coming Friday, the Hindi film would not see any growth.
Evidently, the film wasted a wonderful opportunity to grow as it came at a time when there wasn’t any new release for two consecutive Fridays. But this is not a new thing for Bollywood as it has seen many flops when the audience wanted to see powerful entertainment.
Pathaan Sails Smoothly Due to Poor Performance by Other Films
2023’s first Blockbuster film, Pathaan, hasn’t shown any sign of decaying at the box office. Reason? Its powerful content, star presence and poor performance of other films. The action-spy thriller is flawless and it hints at the kind of films Bollywood needs to recover completely from its traumatic state.
Right from the first day, the film has shown excellent performance. And it has continued to date with surprising instances of growth. Even if crossing the heavenly mark of ₹500 crores, Pathaan has a lot to deliver in its fifth week.
And it has shown its intentions over the fifth weekend in theaters. The film has already earned over ₹5 crores which is a very good amount for the film. You can expect its collection to reach over ₹10 crores at the end of this week.
If I mention its total collection, it has reached over ₹505 crores and it really deserves applause from everyone. Moreover, the way Shahrukh Khan has made a comeback is self-explanatory about the acting ability he possesses.
Given the kind of performance the film is delivering, Pathaan’s 5th Monday collection is about to stand near ₹1 crore.
