Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi’s film, Selfie, has received a low opening. And it is not a good thing for Selfie’s first day collection. On the other hand, the holdover release, Shehzada’s first week collection is also not appealing.

However, Pathaan has once again impressed its audience with another powerful performance as it accumulated a good amount in its 4th week. If I talk about the Hollywood release, Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantamania, the first week’s earning is not up to the mark.

Want to know how these films fare at the box office? Well, read on then!

Selfie Begins its Box Office Journey Poorly

The new release, Selfie, hasn’t received a positive response on its opening day. And it is evident from its very poor opening in the morning hours. Now, its first day collection and even its fate for the first week is very clear from here on.

Akshay Kumar and Mrunal Thakur in Selfie

It is surprising for a star film to get this sort of opening on the very first day in its theaters. For an established actor like Akshay Kumar, it is quite shocking. However, if you have watched its trailer, you might have gotten an idea that the film would not perform well at the box office.

Now, the kind of show it displayed on its maiden day says a lot. It is not like there are many films offering stiff competition to this new release. But it is the poor appeal of the film that has backfired against it.

After the poor show by Shehzada, it is the second consecutive Bollywood film not appealing to the audience. If I compare the two, the latter is a disaster.

Shehzada Earns Around ₹27 Crores in its Week 1

Kartik Aaryan’s film, Shehzada, has failed to deliver the expected performance in the first week. And it was quite evident from its low first-day opening. Following this, the poor show over the first weekend announced its failure at the box office.

After then, everything was clear and no one had expected the film to gain momentum over the weekdays. Clearly, it is something that Bollywood can’t afford during the current phase. Basically, it depicts a similar story to that of before the pandemic.

Being a family entertainer, hopes were high for Shehzada to find its place at the box office. However, it didn’t really come and now it is fair to categorize it as a flop. Have a look at Shehzada’s first week collection!

  • First Week – ₹27 Crores (approx.)

Pathaan Fourth Week Collection

SRK’s blockbuster film, Pathaan, has kept its head high even in the fourth week. Neither was it got affected due to its competitors not it showed any sign of slowing down during its theatrical run in the first three weeks.

The action-spy thriller has collected around ₹ 14 crores in its fourth week and it depicts the stronghold of the film in the theaters.

Ant-Man And The Wasp First Week Collection

Hollywood release, Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantamania hasn’t impressed the audience in its first week. The Marvel movie couldn’t manage to attract footfall over its first weekend. And it depicted its box office story over the weekdays.

If I mention the film’s first-week collection, it managed to cross the mark of ₹30 crores. The total stands at around ₹32 crores after the first week and it is not an impressive value. Just like other Marvel movies, this film didn’t manage to earn well post its advances.

So, this was all about the box office performances of the new as well as the holdover releases. I hope you liked this post and gained sufficient information about the earnings of these films. For more similar posts, keep visiting BOTY as I keep on updating the latest content about the films here.
