Shehzada’s performance at the box office sees a continuous dip on the weekdays. On its first Monday, the film showed a significant drop of around 65% and it wrote its story for the first week. Movie fans who eye Shehzada 5th day collection would not be happy to see its deteriorating play in theaters.
On the other hand, the holdover release Pathaan is not in a mood to stop whatsoever. It is evident from its fourth Tuesday collection, which helped the film touch the ₹500 crores mark.
The collection isn’t even average if I talk of the Hollywood release, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantamania. In fact, it witnessed a decline of 75% on its first Monday and the story didn’t improve on the first Tuesday either.
Now, let’s throw some light on the journey of each of these films at the box office. Read on!
Shehzada Wednesday Collection Doesn’t Show Any Improvement
After his last hit film, Kartik Aaryan set expectations high for his new movie, Shehzada. However, neither the film got a good start nor did it show any growth over the weekend or weekdays. It clearly shows how poorly the audience responded to the film.
From the performance of the film until now, the fate of the film is clear. And it isn’t expected to make a comeback after this poor show. So, what could be the first week’s collection of Shehzada? Well, considering the earnings of the film until now, it is expected to land around ₹27 crore which isn’t even a decent number.
On the weekdays, the Hindi film isn’t showing stability in theaters and its earnings are consistently dropping. One can judge this thing from Shehzada’s Wednesday collection.
After its decline on the first two weekdays, it is about to see another drop of 15% on its 5th day. And it earned around ₹1.55 crores in its pocket. What makes everyone worry about it is it hasn’t come due to the competition from other films.
But it is a result of the poor content of the film. Firstly, there isn’t any appealing music in it. Secondly, it fails to attract the audience with its storyline. Meanwhile, here is the day-wise box office collection of Shezada:
- Friday – 6 crores
- Saturday – 6.65 crores
- Sunday – 7.55 crores
- Monday – 2.1 crores
- Tuesday – 1.80 crores
- Wednesday – 1.50-1.60 crores(approx.)
- Total (first 5 days) – 25-26 crores (approx.)
What is clear from this kind of performance is the film doesn’t have any scope in the second week. So, it will be a complete washout for Shezada in the coming week.
Pathaan Excels Strongly Despite Competition from Other Films
SRK’s Pathaan isn’t showing any sign of slowing down as is evident from its collections in the fourth week. Post its strong fourth weekend, the film is also attracting new movie viewers into its theaters. How often does it happen with any Bollywood film? Well, Rarely!
On its fourth Wednesday, it earned around ₹1 crore and it is strong even after earning ₹500 crore in its account. Here is the total box office collection of the film so far:
- First 3 Weeks – 488.15 crores
- Fourth Week (5 days) – 11.8 crores (approx.)
- Total – 500 crores (approx.)
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantamania Collection is Dull
Marvel movie, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantamanis isn’t showing any sign of growth in theaters. What’s worse is it is witnessing a bigger drop than Shehzada. That’s something that no one expects from a Hollywood release in its first week. Have a look at the box office collection of the film below!
- Friday – 8.50 crores
- Saturday – 9 crores
- Sunday – 8 crores
- Monday – 2.25 crores
- Tuesday – 2 crores (approx.)
- Total – 29.75 crores (approx.)
Clearly, Shehzada and Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantamania aren’t up to the mark with their performances. And these two films are going to see a tough time in their second week. Whereas, Pathaan is in strong form and it has proved it pretty well with its high earnings in the theaters.
