Kartika Aaryan & Kriti Sanon’s much-awaited film, Shehzada, has arrived at the box office. Just like Kartik’s previous blockbuster film, hopes are high for this Hindi movie. Advance Bookings Report: Shehzada vs Ant-Man 3 vs Pathaan
If I take a glance at the advance book report of the newly released films, the numbers aren’t impressive. As reported by Taran Adarsh, Shehzada hasn’t got half the advance bookings as the actor’s previous film.
Whereas the Marvel movie, Ant-Man And The Wasp 3 got over 1 Lakh bookings before its release. Here are the numbers:
- Shehzada: 25,825
- Ant-Man And The Wasp 3: 1,06,500
- Pathaan: 17,400
From the numbers, it is evident that Kartik Aaryan’s film hasn’t got the expected response before the film. Now, it is the critics’ reviews as well as word of mouth that would decide its earnings at the box office.
First Day Collections
Shehzada is in competition with the newly released Hollywood film, Ant-Man & the Wasp: Quantumania. Also, the holdover release Pathaan is strong even in its fourth week. So, it is fair to say that Shehzada’s first-day collection would get affected due to the other two films.
Earlier, the filmmakers shifted its release date from 10 February to 17 February as Pathaan was ruling the box office then. Now, SRK’s film has got a lesser number of screens but still, it is going to perform well due to its blasting effect in the first three weeks.
Now, let’s discuss the first day earnings of Shehzada by keeping the real picture in mind.
Since the new release has started on a dull note, it is not going to earn a very good amount on its first day like Bhool Bhoolaiya 2. Moreover, the low advance hints and the tough competition also don’t go in the film’s favor.
So, what could be the 1st-day earnings for the film? Well, it would settle around ₹5-6 crores. Though it is not considered a very good start it is an average performance.
How Shehzada sails over the next two days of the weekend would depend on its word of mouth. Also, as critics’ reviews surface, it would become clear where the film would go at the box office.
Pathaan to Remain Strong Despite New Releases
SRK’s Pathaan is going to show a decent fall as one could expect due to the new Friday releases. Despite a low number of screens, it would do good at the box office.
The film’s performance over the fourth weekend would decide whether it would touch the ₹500 crores mark or not. A major part of it depends on how Shehzada performance over the first weekend. Clearly, the picture will become clear this weekend.
