Shehzada has not seen the kind of start at the box office that everyone had expected. Despite postponing its release date, Kartik Aaryan’s film is not up to the mark with its performance. Shehzada’s Tuesday collection is a testimony to that.
On the other hand, the holdover release “Pathaan” is roaring strong even in its fourth week. And the new Hollywood release, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantamania is attracting average business in theaters.
Let’s discuss how these films, especially Shehzada are doing at the box office.
Shehzada’s 5th Day Collection is Below Average
Shehzada is not living up to the expectations as it didn’t receive a strong response over the first weekend. After its dull start, the Hindi movie should’ve gained momentum on Day 2 to prosper in theaters. However, it didn’t come.
The Mahashivratri holiday was a chance for it to attract visitors but it was also limited to the small chains. A growth of 15% on Saturday was something not worthy of contributing to its collection.
And then the Sunday story remained on the same lines and it pushed Shehzada’s first-weekend collection to the average bracket. As of Monday, the film’s total collection barely crossed the mark of Rs. 22 crores. Don’t you think this is a meager amount as compared to the actor’s previous hit film, Bhool Bhoolaiya 2? Well, yes it is!
Here is how Shehzada has fared till now at the box office:
- Friday – Rs. 6 crores
- Saturday – Rs. 6.65 crores
- Sunday – Rs. 7.55 crores
- Monday – Rs. 2.50 crores (Approx.)
Speaking of Shehzada’s 5th day collection, the story doesn’t seem to improve much. And the film is going to struggle in the strong winds of Pathaan and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantamania.
Let’s now throw light on how the other two films sail in theaters!
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantamania Collection
Marvel movie, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantamania created a furor before its release due to its advance bookings. However, its box office story calls it an average film.
Though there wasn’t strong competition from the new and holdover releases, it didn’t fare well over the first weekend. And it is evident from its collections in the first three days. Check out its first-weekend collections here!
- Friday – Rs. 8.50 cr
- Saturday – Rs. 9 cr
- Sunday – Rs. 8 cr
Evidently, the numbers show the average performance of the Hollywood film. If I talk about its worldwide collection, the film has earned around Rs. 30 billion in total.
Pathaan is the Winner Of the three Films
Now, who is doing the best among the three films at the box office? The answer is “Pathaan.” The film has given a splendid performance till now and it is strong even in the face of new releases.
Over the fourth weekend, Pathaan collected Rs. 9.6 crores. And it crossed the mark of Rs. 500 crores on its fourth Monday. Clearly, the film is in super form and it has set new records across the globe.
I will come up with the box office collection of Shehzada, Pathaan, and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantamania for the next few days. So, keep visiting BOTY and read about the latest articles related to movie collections.
