Simmba had an excellent first week at the box office and the film crossed Rs. 150 crores till Thursday. In the first couple of days, the film collected decently but from Sunday onwards, the journey has been outstanding. Simmba first week collection got the benefit of the poor performance of Zero and the New year eve.
The positive word of mouth has done wonders for the film and it has managed to earn such an excellent amount in the theaters. Since there is no big release on the second Friday so there is going to be a stronghold of Simmba today as well.

It is the not only the highest opening film of Ranveer Singh but also the eight consecutive films of Rohit Shetty to cross Rs. 100 cr mark. The positive word of mouth is the biggest factor which has made it possible for a film to earn this much amount at the box office.
Now, on the second Friday, Simmba has to remain strong and a drop of around 20% would be appropriate for the film to hold strong in the second week.

Zero remained on the down-side in the second week and it only managed to earn near Rs. 6 crores. Zero failed to leave a mark on the audience’s minds and hence it could not achieve the mark it was desired of. KGF, on the other hand, had fared well in the second week but it also witnessed a downfall due to strong Simmba wave.
