Soorma earned a decent amount on its opening day and earned Rs. 3.25 crores. The film opened on a slow note and grew well in the evening shows. On the other hand, the Hollywood movie, Ant-Man and the Wasp fared well on its first day and collected over Rs. 5 crores in the theatres. Both the films are in a battle with each other as well as the Holdover releases, Sanju. Soorma 2nd day collection is expected to witness an excellent growth on its first Saturday. 2nd Day Collection Early Estimates
Soorma showed a decent hold on its first day at the box office but it would show a good growth on its second day. The film has received a positive review from the critics as well as the public. Now, the positive word of mouth of the audience would come into the picture and Soorma 2nd day collection would witness over 40% growth which would take its two days earning around Rs. 8 crores. The film has a big challenge to attract the audience outside North India as the subject is mainly related to the Punjab side.
Ant-Man and the Wasp movie Crosses Rs. 12 Crores
Ant-Man and the Wasp earned well on its opening day and collected better than the other two Hindi films. The Hollywood film would grow about 30% on Saturday and cross the total earning of its first part in India. Ant-Man and the Wasp 2nd Day collection would be around Rs. 7 crores and it would take its total over Rs. 12 crores in the theatres. The film has received a benefit of the limited audience of Soorma and hence it has fared well in India.
Sanju 3rd Friday Collection
Sanju 3rd Friday collection came around Rs. 4 crores and showed a drop of 27% from its second Thursday. The film would grow well on its third Saturday and collect around Rs. 5 crores. The total of the film has crossed Rs. 300 crores which is a big milestone for the film. Now, it is looking to surpass the lifetime total of Tiger Zinda Hai.
