Soorma has completed its first six days at the box office in a decent manner. After an average earning over the first weekend, Soorma maintained itself well on the weekdays. The biopic didn’t get affected due to other releases and has attracted a good number of footfalls in the theatres. Soorma first week collection would be over Rs. 21 crores which is a positive sign for the film. The other film, Ant-Man and the Wasp failed to earn well on the weekdays after an excellent start on its opening day.
Soorma Recovers Well on the Weekdays
Diljit Dosanjh’s Soorma faces the brunt of its appeal to the limited audience and the film has failed to attract people from the non-North region to its theatres. Soorma made a recovery on the weekdays and it didn’t show big falls from the first Monday onwards. In its first six days, the film has reached near the mark of Rs. 20 crores. Soorma 7th day collection would come out to be in the range of Rs. 1.60-1.65 crores. With this, Soorma first week collection would easily cross the mark of Rs. 21 crores. Ant-Man and the Wasp Crosses Rs. 26 crores
The Hollywood film, Ant-Man and the Wasp took a very good opening but failed to grow well over the next two days. However, the film could not manage to maintain itself well on the weekdays and collects less than the expectations. Although it has fared better than the previous part, the film should have earned more to make itself count in the theatres. Here is the day-wise earning of the film at the box office:
