Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar witnessed a good box office run over its five-day extended weekend. The film managed to collect over ₹70 crores and now its acid test will begin on Monday. Tu Joothi Main Makkaar’s 6th day collection will write its story for the entire week.
After the Holi period, it is now a litmus test for the movie in the theatres. And clearly, how it performs on Monday and the coming weekdays would decide its fate. Let’s discuss the expected performance of the film on Monday.
Will the Movie Pass the Monday Test?
TJMM has accumulated a good amount of money over the first five days. However, the issue with the film is it is only receiving a good response from multiplexes and it doesn’t have a strong appeal in mass circuits.
Truth be told, it is necessary for Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar to gain good numbers in mass circuits to sail strongly at the box office. After a decent start on the Holi holidays, it slowed down and saw a decline in its earnings.
But it made a good comeback on Saturday and Sunday due to which its total crossed ₹70 crore mark. Now, its performance on the 6th day will determine its journey on the weekdays.
Around 40% Decline Expected for the Film on the 6th Day
Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar isn’t getting a good response in mass circuits. It is a problematic thing for the film given its high budget and genre. Now, on its 6th day, the film is expected to see a decline of around 40% from Friday.
As a result, its Monday collection is going to come to around ₹7 crores. If the film declined below this then it will not be a good thing for TJMM. There is no competition for it this week as no new film is releasing now. Also, the holdover release Pathaan isn’t getting many screens and it has exhausted its box office run.
So, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar should perform well on Monday and it should collect a good value in its pockets. Meanwhile, here are the first five-day collections for the movie:
- Wednesday – ₹15.73 cr
- Thursday – ₹10.34 cr
- Friday – ₹10.52 cr
- Saturday – ₹16.57 cr
- Sunday – ₹17.08 cr
- Total – ₹70.24 cr
From the above numbers, it is evident that TJMM has been decent on the big screen. It is very crucial for it to do well on the weekdays to collect a good value.
Pathaan Sails Fairly Despite Lesser Number of Screens
SRK’s Pathaan is doing well in the theaters even in its seventh week. For instance, it collected around ₹1.70 crores over its seventh weekend. It reflects the stronghold of the film at the box office.
After the release of Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, Pathaan didn’t get a good number of screens. Despite having just 700 cinemas, the action thriller film is doing well and it is earning a good amount of money in its pocket.
Since it is not facing any competition and there is no big release, Pathaan will stay at the box office till March month. And it will take its total collection at a very good value.
