Shraddha Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor’s movie, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar has hit the theaters today. After a good advance report, the romantic comedy has set hopes high for its first day. Just like the previous movies of Luv Ranjan, moviegoers & critics are expecting Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’s first day collection to fall in a good range.

What would the number come to? To know the estimated value for the film’s box office collection on its maiden day, read this post till the end. Let’s start!

First Day Collection is Likely to Fall in Between ₹10-12 Crores

Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar has set its foot at the box office with good to decent advance bookings. Precisely speaking, the film reportedly sold over 45000 tickets for Day 1 and it is sufficient for it to take a very good start on its first day.

You should not forget that it is released on the Holi Holiday so it will have an advantage which would push its collection a lot. Also, TJMM has a strong urban appeal and it would connect with the youth audience largely.

Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar movie still

One thing that could help film on its first day is no competition from a new release. Moreover, the holdover release Pathaan is also counting its final run so it would not be a big problem for it.

So, it is fair to expect Tu Jhooth Main Makkaar’s Wednesday collection to reach over ₹10 crores. How well it would pick up after all would depend on several factors. Critics’ reviews and word of mouth would play a crucial role in setting the foundation for the film.

The movie has an extended weekend so if it gets a good start, there is no denying that it would shine in the first weekend. Fortunately, it has come at a time when other films except Pathaan aren’t doing well.

So, it has a good chance to satiate the hunger of people by entertaining them. When the update for the first day collection of TJMM comes, I will update the same in this post.

Pathaan Sees a Decent Drop On its 6th Wednesday

SRK’s Pathaan is doing extremely well in its 6th week and it is evident from its 6th Monday & Tuesday collections. The action thriller film just saw a decline of 28% from its 6th Friday and earned ₹75 lacs.

Really, it is a commendable performance by the film. Now, on Wednesday, it will show some drop due to the competition from the new release. But it will not be a major decline.

Until now, Pathaan’s 6th week collection has reached over ₹6 crores. And it will reach over 8 crores positively at the end of this week.

It will be an interesting thing to see how well the film adjusts at the box office in the face of a new release. Whatever the case may be, I will update you on its latest advancements at the earliest.
