This serial was roughly based on the film, Hatya which was a super hit of the year, 1988. Keeping this in mind, makers decided to make it as a serial. But, it didn't work out for a long time as the serial ended in just a few months. One of the major controversies regarding this serial was raised when Kajal Jain replaced Magha Gupta for the lead role. The reason behind this is still not clear.
