The show revolves around the lives of people living in a small village of Kanpur. The soap is a classic comedy. But it had been in news many times due to its adult-oriented theme. But nevertheless, the characters won the hearts of millions, pushing other serials as well to follow a similar theme.
In this show, both the husbands are fed up of their wives and are attracted to their neighbor's wife. Vibhuti's wife is a strong, courageous and modern day woman, whereas Manmohan Tiwari's wife is a simple, naive and down to earth woman. How both the men try to woo other ladies form the whole storyline.
When Shilpa Shinde went into the dispute with the show's producers, she was replaced by Shubhangi. Since the show was favorite of many people, producers were worried whether the new Angoori would be facing difficulties settling down. But much to everybody's amaze, she garnered a lot of love and attention from the audience. She melted so perfectly to the role that people didn't feel any absence of Shilpa Shinde.
