This serial is the spin-off of the serial, Ishqbaaz. Dil Bole Oberoi narrates the love story of Omkara & Gauri. On the other hand, Rudra’s story continues with both Saumya & Bhavya. Basically, this serial focuses on Gauri & Omkara.

Dil Bole Oberoi is the first ever spin-off of any Hindi serial. Like it's original series Ishqbaaz, Dil Bole Oberoi was also loved by the audience. Since all the characters & the storyline was almost same, the makers decided to merge it with Ishqbaaz. The only difference was that Ishqbaaz focusses on the love story of Anika & Shivaay. On the other hand, its spin-off focusses on the love story of Omkara & Gauri. Well after merging, the time slot was increased to 1 hour in order to portray every love story equally.
