This serial was spread over 2 seasons. This is the story of a father who wants to protect his daughter from every evil eye. One day he notices that there is an abandoned girl who can protect her daughter from the curses she has on herself. He then adopts that girl and maker her the Kaala Teeka of his daughter. Rest of the serial shows how that girl saves the daughter throughout her life.

Kaala Teeka is a serial based on the story of Kali. Due to a rich man's superstitious belief that his daughter, Gauri should have a guard as her Kaala Teeka, he heirs Kali in her childhood. There are two seasons of this serial.
Season 1
Kali is mistreated by Guri's family. On the other hand, Gauri lives a life of a princess. Things change when Yug, the male lead enters her life & tries to change everybody's superstitious thought. Yug & Kali fall for each other but he ends up marrying Gauri.
Season 2
In this season, the storyline focuses on Naina & Pavitra. Naina is the daughter of Yug & Gauri but someone separates her from her parents. Later, Kali finds Naina across a river & takes care of her. On the other hand, Pavitra is her own daughter.
One of the major controversy related to this serial was when Bhupinder Singh slapped a person from Production. Bhupinder Singh portrayed the character of Gauri's father. He was even banned from shooting at that time.
