This serial narrates the story of an innocent girl, Simran. After losing her parents, she lives with her relatives. When she grows up, her uncle decides to marry her with Ruhaan. On the day of their marriage, Ruhaan reveals that he loves some other girl. Later, both of them fall for each other.

Meri Doli Tere Angana has a lot of family dramas. This serial starts with the story of an innocent girl, Simran who is an orphan. She sacrifices all her wishes for the sake of her relatives. Being aware of her fiance's love life, she agrees to adjust in her married life due to her uncle's health. The story takes a turn & becomes more interesting after Ruhaan starts feeling for Simran after their honeymoon sequence in Goa. The serial end up with the deep love of Ruhaan for Simran but unfortunately Simran dies in an accident.
