The story of this serial is set against the backdrop of a village in Madhya Pradesh. It mainly narrates the story of a girl, Phulwa. Phulwa is an innocent girl who loses her parents in her childhood. She grows up under the guidance of her elder brother. One day, the criminal of the village, Bade Thakur kills her brother. Later, Phulwa vows to avenge her brother’s death.

Phulwa's storyline is based on the life of Phulan Devi who was a dacoit turned politician. Since the story of this serial is partially real, it's interesting. Also, all the characters in this serial are amazing especially the one who played Phulwa. Initially, she portrays the character of a kind-hearted, innocent & fun-loving girl. Later, she becomes furious & violent after her brother's murder.
