Akshay Kumar and Sonam Kapoor is on cloud nine as both of them have received their first ever national award on Wednesday. The 64th National Film Award has been held on yesterday in Delhi that was filled with all the Bollywood stars.
While Sonam Kapoor has received the award for her excellent performance in Neerja Akshay Kumar bagged it for the movie Rustom. Neerja was based on a true story that depicted the story of Neerja Bhanot who was a Pan Am pursuer. She lost her life to save the passengers while their Pan Am was hijacked at the Karachi airport in 1986.
Both the star Akshay Kumar and Sonam Kapoor have received their award from President Pranab Mukherjee. Akshay Kumar is really happy to receive this honor and he has taken it to Twitter to express his happiness.
The 60 year old ever green actor Anil Kapoor too is very happy for her daughter and he has stated that this is a great thing and nothing can be as big as this award. So this day is very important to Sonam and his family. Also, he has congratulated Akshay Kumar, the other National Award winner.
