Good content always touches audience’s heart which is finally converted into a big figure. Dangal has proved this true fact which now stands at Rs. 604.90 crores worldwide in just 15 days. The movie has already created a history in Bollywood by securing Rs. 313.50 crores in the box office (domestic collection).
The movie has hit theatres on 23rd December and since then did not look back rather has been able to maintain the same trend even at the third week as well. Audiences continue to step into theatre on its 15th day, 3rd Friday also. The morning show on 3rd Friday was started with 20% occupancy which gradually went up to 45% during the evening show. This is really a very strong hold while the movie continues to run on 3050 screens in the 3rd week as well because some of the movies struggle to get even 3000 screens in the first week.
Dangal’s 3rd Friday collection is Rs. 9.3 crores. The movie has secured its name as the highest grosser of 2016 by surpassing Sultan’s collection in its day 13 only.
