Today, the first mini trailer of “Jab Harry Met Sejal” was released. This movie is scheduled to release on August 4, 2017. Shahrukh Khan and Anushka Sharma are featured in the first ever trailer of the film, directed by Imtiaz Ali. This trailer gives you a sneak peak into the lives of Harry and Sejal.
In this trailer, Shahrukh Khan is found telling Anushka Sharma that his character is bad (“Mera character kharaab hai”). He is shown having cheap eyes and thoughts for women around him.
The name “Jab Harry Met Sejal” itself gives enough indications that it will be a romantic saga, unlike Shahrukh Khan’s previous movie, Raees, which was a pack of crime, action, and thriller. In this movie, there is a budding romance between Shahrukh Khan, who is playing a Punjabi Boy, and Anushka, playing a Gujarati girl.
So when the genre is romance, you can never expect less from the Romance King of Bollywood, Shahrukh Khan. But, fans of Shahrukh Khan are in for a surprise. The romantic king is all set for a switch. Here, he will be seen playing the role of a man with cheap thoughts about women. On one hand, where Shahrukh Khan is all Casanova, Anushka Sharma on the other hand, plays a very naive girl. She is too innocent to understand what he is saying.
In the trailer, Anushka Sharma is shown with a different accent. It would not be wrong to state that she just nails her Gujarati character. Her previous movie Phillauri was heartily accepted by everybody and it did a fairly good job at the Box Office. The expectations from this movie are much higher than that.
The screen presence of Anushka and Shahrukh in this movie will remind you of Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, Anushka’s debut movie. In that movie, even when she was a debutant, she stood fairly well opposite to Shahrukh Khan. The compatibility shown by Anushka and Shahrukh is that movie, and few others in the past, will come alive once again when Harry will meet Sejal.
Overall, the movie is all set to rock at the box office. Let’s see what future has in store for this movie.
