Kaalakaandi First Day Expected to be Horrible

Kaalakaandi is one of the first major movies to start the year of 2018 at the box office. And as we had earlier expected, this film has started on a very very poor note. This Saif Ali Khan starrer created almost no buzz in the Industry. It is one of those films which will come and go, and nobody would remember that such a film even existed.

Saif Ali Khan’s last film Chef, had created more buzz than Kaalakandi and it was a huge box office disaster. And we can expect the same from Kaalakaandi as well, at least on its first day.

First Day Early Report

There have been almost no advance bookings for this film. The no. of shows are also very less. Theatre owners have given more screen space to other movies like 1921 and Mukkabaaz, which seems like a smart decision. A Few shows for this film have been already cancelled.

Kaalakandi is expected to fall much behind the still Dominating Tiger Zinda Hai, which will enter its 4th week this Friday.

And judging by the trends, Kaalakandi is barely expected to reach 1 crores on its first day. The only chance for this film stands with premium multiplex audiences which are also not showing any interest in this film.

Future Hopes

With a horrible 1st day collection like this, we do not have much hope from Kaalakaandi. Even if it manages to pick up later, the marketing for this film was so poor that it won’t be able to score decently at the box office.
