Kangana Puts an end to Nepotism Debate

Have you also been thinking about the joke being talked about in the film industry on “N” word – Nepotism? Yes, I am talking about the recent controversy that took place in IIFA 2017 over nepotism. Nepotism rocks started with the three stars, Karan Johar, Varun Dhawan and Saif Ali Khan at IIFA awards in New York. Although all the three of them have apologized Kangana for this controversy. Even Kangana has also penned an open letter which moreover focuses on Saif Ali Khan.

It was that moment at IIFA when Varun joined Karan and Saif on the stage to receive the award for the best performance in a comic role for “Dishoom”. At that time Karan & Saif took a dig at Kangana mentioning, Varun made it because his father David Dhawan is in the industry. And to this Varun replied, You are here because of your mother Sharmila Tagore and at the same time Karan Johar joined them and mentioned he was there because of his filmmaker father, Yash Johar. And the trio shouted, “Nepotism Rocks”.

Saif and Varun then sang “Bole chudiyaan” from Johar’s film “Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham…” But the director twisted the second part of the song to take a potshot at the actress, saying, ‘Kangana nahi bole toh achha hai’.

After all this, Kangana wrote an open letter putting an end to Nepotism. In her letter she addressed Saif, mentioning that apologizing isn’t enough, as Nepotism not only affect her but many other people too. Kangana states, this is not my issue alone. Nepotism is a practice where people tend to act upon temperamental human emotions, rather than intellectual tendencies.”

At the end of her letter, Kangana writes, let’s put an end to Nepotism and try to make peace with it. The ones who think it works for them can make peace with it. In my opinion, that is an extremely pessimistic attitude for a third-world country, where many people don’t have access to food, shelter, clothing, and education. The world is not an ideal place, and it might never be. That is why we have the industry of arts. In a way, we are the flag-bearers of hope.”

See what Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar want to say about Nepotism.
