Kareena Kapoor Expressed her Wish to Work in Biopics

Bollywood has now set a new trend of making biographical films. Especially, women-centric movies are doing much well at the box office. Recently, Kareena Kapoor has expressed her wish to work in biopics as a female lead. She stated that she would be happy to portray Maharani Gayatri Devi on 70mm screen. Sources revealed that Bebo is bored of doing masala films, that’s why she wants to do something she has never done before.

Earlier, there were some rumors that Mary Kom & Sarbjit director Omung Kumar might approach Kareena for his next biopic. But, the director didn’t come up with any of his project based on any real character. Now, when Bebo has herself confessed her wish to work on biopics, let’s see which filmmaker comes up with the scripts. If she got the chance, this would be her first biopic film.

According to Kareena, Gayatri Devi’s life stories & achievements are so inspiring that a film should be made on her. Commonly known as Rajmata, she was the third Maharani of Jaipur. She ruled from 1940 to 1949. Apart from being an extremely successful politician, she was expert in playing Polo & horse riding. Maharani was fond of cars & aircrafts too. Her classical beauty was also celebrated at that time. Her name was included in ten most beautiful women list in Vogue’s magazine.

Biopic in Hindi Cinema

There are many more actresses in Bollywood who have worked in biopics such as, Deepika Padukone in Padmavat, Kangana Ranaut in Manikarnika, Priyanka Chopra in Mary Kom & many more. Now, Kareena also wants to add her name in this list. Although she has delivered numerous super hits of various genre, she has a keen interest in doing biopic rather than romantic & masala movies. Nothing more has been revealed regarding this till now. Let’s hope that the makers soon come up with a script on this.
