Mirza-Sahiba, Heer-Ranjha, Laila-Majnu & Romeo-Juliet are some beautiful stories defining love. Many times, these epic love stories have been played on different platforms. But, no big projects have been made on any of these. Now, the makers of the Hindi film industry have decided to portray the undying tale of Laila & Majnu on the big screen.
Recently, a Punjabi film, Mirza – The Untold Story was made on Mirza & Sahiba which was a super hit. According to some sources, Bollywood director, Imtiaz Ali who directed many love stories over the years will now present the epic love on the screen rather than his imagination. Some of his movies which portray mindblowing stories about love are Love Aaj Kal & Rockstar.
This upcoming film will be directed by Sajid Ali who is best known for his music composition. Along with him & Imtiaz Ali, television queen Ekta Kapoor will also be a part of this film. Though Ekta Kapoor had not narrated any pure love story on the big screen yet. She had directed film like The Dirty Picture. And, on the small screen, she has portrayed numerous romantic stories with family drama. This time, she will be narrating the undying love of Laila-Majnu.
