Omerta Movie Review: Rajkummar Rao Nailed it in His New Avatar

Rajkummar Rao starrer film, Omerta is going to hit the theaters this Friday on 4th May 2018. This is a different film of the actor and its trailer has received a positive response. Omerta is purely based on real events and no dramatic elements are inserted into the movie. Earlier, it was scheduled to release on 27 April but the makers delayed it by one week.

The story of the film revolves around a well-educated person who turned into a devil terrorist. Omerta is a documentary and biopic based on the life of the terrorist, Omar Saeed Sheikh. Many disturbing and real events are shown in Omerta. Here is the analysis of the movie based on some factors:

Acting

Rajkummar Rao has nailed it again with his superb acting in this film. Not just his appearance in the film seems suitable for his character but also his expressions are simply mindblowing. The versatile actor has done a complete just to his intense and gripping film. Also, all the other supporting cast, Keval Arora, and Timothy Hitkernell have managed to maintain an excellent chemistry with Rajkumar Rao in this film.

Direction

The director Hansal Mehta has a great past experience of working with Rajkummar Rao. In this film also, the duo has presented a truly engaging documentary to the audience. There is no point in the movie where one would feel bored. In the earlier times also, Hansal Mehta and Rajkumar Rao’s combination has given many good films namely Aligarh, Shahid, and Citylights at the box office.

Music

Omerta does not have many songs in it but the background score of the film is in synchronisation with its content. This is a content-based film so makers have chosen the songs of the movie accordingly. The songs are not popular among the audience, which is always the case with these type of intense films. It is the engagement of the people with the background score that really matters. And the music of Omerta fulfills this need.

Story

Omerta is an intense documentary crime film and its story is written very intelligently. This is not for fun loving audience and faint-hearted people. How well a documentary can be penned down is evident from this film. The writer has kept the focus on the main topic and the feelings of all the religions are respected fully in the crime drama film.

Overall, we can say that Omerta is for those who love to watch serious films based on some social-political issues prevalent in the world. This is not a film for entertainment-loving and faint-hearted people as they would not find it interesting to watch.
