Padman First Week Collection Crosses 60 Crores

Padman sailed exceptionally well in its week 1 with good profit in its account. Akshay Kumar starrer film started its journey with a decent collection at the box office. But it managed to show good number after the opening day and witnessed good growth. On weekdays it got benefitted because of partial holidays which helped the film in collecting a good total. A New Edge to Women-Centric Films

Most of the women-centric Hindi films are based on the similar topics like rape, sexual harassment etc. But Padman explored this idea of women-centric films and chose a different topic. The film focussed on the menstrual hygiene of women especially in the rural areas. Also, the strong and interesting content of the film is entertaining the audience very well. The rest of the job is done by the positive word of mouth from the audience.

7th day Collection Early Estimates

Padman already crossed Rs. 50 crores mark in its first five days. On its 6th day, it witnessed more than 20% growth from Monday due to Mahashivratri holiday at some places and Valentine’s day celebrations. The film did good business at the box office and crossed Rs. 7 crores on yesterday. However, the next two days will be crucial for the film to decide its future. Padman first week total would easily cross Rs. 60 crores mark with its 7th day collection to come. Seeing its good performance, it would earn around Rs. 2.50 – 3 crores at the box office.

It would be an interesting thing to watch how it performs today as it is a normal weekday. Also a new release, Aiyaary is releasing this Friday so there will be a tough competition between the three films namely Aiyaary, Padman, and Padmaavat. Padman has to maintain its stronghold in the next couple of days and the second weekend to collect good number in week 2.
